Sarah Palin appeared Friday in Orlando at the Orange County Republican Dinner. The Orlando Sentinel printed an article following her appearance, which quoted a mother as saying, “I love her morals, her character and the way she says what she believes”. This quote embodies all that I object to in the façade of Sarah Palin. This mother was obviously persuaded by what Palin says instead of examining carefully what Palin does. Consider Palin’s morals and character.
Even though statistics indicate that over 90% of Americans have pre-marital sex, Palin never-the-less still advocates abstinence in speeches given across the country. The amazing thing is that she herself was pregnant when she married.
Palin suggests that she is a dedicated mother and a professional yet…
- She allows Piper to miss a multitude of school days for various reasons including beach vacations in Hawaii during normal school weeks.
- Her oldest son has had drug problems
- Bristol was pregnant at age 17, was not married, and Palin thought she would make it okay, by suggesting that Bristol was going to marry the father.
- Mommy Dearest parades her Down’s syndrome baby to national political conventions like a prop.
- Palin drags her Down’s syndrome baby to book signing tours often in his pajamas and without shoes.
- Trig needs glasses but we rarely see him with glasses on, so I guess his vision isn’t too important to his mom.
- Willow has been identified by police as a teenager who occupied an abandoned house for the purpose of having a party where alcohol was freely consumed.
- Palin chose to become pregnant at age 44, when the risk of a Down’s syndrome child was quite high given her age and that of her husband.
- Palin tried to ban a book from the Wasilla library designed to help a child gain a better understanding about his gay father.
Palin advocates “common sense” when it comes to running the country, but fails to offer any specific proposals to explain what that means or how she would fix any of the multitude of problems the country is facing.
Palin complained throughout the campaign that she was prevented from talking with the media, but when she had the press trying hard to come to book signing events, she prohibited them from attending.
Palin repeatedly complains that the media should leave her family alone, but she has sold grandchild photos for over $300,000, her book “Going Rogue” is at least 50% personal accounts of family life, and she mentions her family as often as she can in speeches and appearances.
The most amazing thing is that Palin makes ridiculous excuses for her behavior, and people seem to feel sorry for her, like writing notes on her hand and using God to justify it.
It is incumbent upon all of us, especially women, to ensure that the truth be known. “Rebuttal to the Rogue” was my personal attempt to ensure that there was a record of the hypocrisy of Sarah Palin.
Please help me educate people like this woman who believe everything that Palin says. Read More
Oh and don't forget the Palins' property tax evasion that came to light recently, reporting $0 value

Syrin, what is up with my comments getting truncated? What I actually said was: Oh and don't forget the Palins' property tax evasion that came to light recently, reporting $0 value for a house and other buildings on one of their properties when they actually were worth about $100,000. I wonder how Ken will spin that.

[this is good] I just recieved my copy of "Rebuttal to the Going Rogue" from the author Malia Litman in the mail. I will be sitting down and reading it as requested by the author. Ms. Litman is aware that I'm an advocate for life. But, she wants my opinion and to review her book. I appreciate that...

sjohnson,
Sorry about that. It does that to me sometimes and I just delete and start over.
Yes, thanks for adding that very important fact about willful fraud on property taxes. Sometime soon the husband and I will be traveling to Petersville, Ak . The area that the 'ToddMahal' stands. It's newer and way nicer than my own home. I would say for that property alone, not even $100,000.00 would cover the grandeur of it.

She wants us to leave her children alone, but she puts the children out there.

The rest of my comment does not seem to be there. I wrote that she uses her children : like Piper when insulting Senator Grayson in FL, she could say more about him but Piper was with her. I mean, what nasty mean vile things would she say if Piper were not there? Would she use profanity? Call him ugly names? Are these things Christian and moral as long as you don't do it front of children? And is this the same woman who wrote an email about Lyda Green in which she quotes Piper as saying, "can't you just pull her hair?" True story. Check the emails from MSNBC archive! She has to keep Piper with her because Piper is young and still somewhat innocent in what she might say to others if she were alone with them: teachers, friends (if she has any), and other parents. The "kids say the darnest things," fear by Sarah. And what about Piper. On the Mudflats today a commenter says it is Piper's birthday this week. She will be nine. Correct? Does Piper have a special bedroom at the house? One decorated for her? With dolls and stuffed animals? Does she miss them? Does she have friends her own age? Has she ever had a sleep-over (very popular thing to do for most 8-12 year-olds). A skating party? Or even a movie party? Do the perks at all the big fancy hotels make up for these things? Happy Birthday Piper! There are people (men and women, fathers and mothers) on the blogosphere who do care. We do wonder what you are really like and WHAT you would really like. We do care that your little brother is getting the care he needs. We don't think you are totally the kind of child who would want to pull a cancer survivor's hair, but we do think that the "mothering" you are receiving and the example that is being set for you (name calling, lying, dishonest behavior, and taking money for these things) are not going to be in your best interest in your teenage and adult years.

Welcome daisydem....Please forgive the problems with the blog.
I appreciate what you've laid out as the present reality for Piper. I do live and work here in Wasilla and have children slightly older but still in the know to say that Willow is in as much need and desperation for a mother as Bristol did before her. You encapsulated the fact that Sarah in inept in the most important thing- mothering! Your comment was so poignant....

[this is good] Syrin, You (and everyone else) should go over to www.theimmoralminority.blogspot.com and see his post about Sarah's last "pregnancy." He has done an excellent job of putting all the ducks in a row.

[this is good] I also have been truncated here. I thought it was something I did. Just a technical problem... moving on. Daisydem, great comment! You are not alone in how you think about how she uses her children. Also, I guess she wants the world to know that if Piper wasn't around she would blast us with a stew of profanity and plaitudes, in the tradition of pit bulls with lipstick everywhere.

Yes he has done a terrific job putting the obvious facts out there to analyze. I appreciate his blog even though some things I don't completely agree with. I haven't had a chance to meet Gryphen face to face. I hear he lives somewhere in the Wasilla area. Matanuska Susitna Valley
